Description of Green Lentils
Green lentils stand out from other lentils mainly because there are different variants within this ‘color’. Varieties such as Laird, Eston, and Du Puy exhibit differences in color, size, and sometimes texture.
We supply both Laird and Eston variants of green lentils. Du Puy is available upon request. As an alternative, we offer ‘French green lentils’. The origins we offer are Europe, Canada, and Turkey.
In addition to green lentils, we also offer red lentils, brown lentils, and beluga lentils.
Green lentils are known for their earthy flavor, sometimes with a hint of pepper. They pair best with meat, spinach, or cooled in a salad. Of course, like other lentils, they can also be used to make soup.
